Puerto de Mogan

Mogan was once (not so long ago) a small fishing village and not much more. The small port was developed into a Marina ordered by restaurants, shops, some apartments and a hotel all built in whitewashed stone with multi-coloured woodwork and adorned with buganivlla. The image of the street between these buildings with all those flowers helped make the port area of Mogan famous.

Around 10 years ago with the building boom was in full swing, permission was given for development in the valley behind the marina and in the space of a couple of years, several large hotels and apartment buildings appeared. The beach area was developed with golden sand brought in to cover the once dark sand, a small promenade with more cafes and shops appeared and even a large shopping centre was built. Mogan is now an established holiday resort with that fantastic golden beach, great choice of restaurants (speciality fish and sea-food) and peaceful evenings on the terrace of a bar.

Early in 2013 the GC1 extension finally reached Mogan meaning a 30 minute drive along cliff-top roads became a 5 minute drive further along the motorway and the trip to the airport an easy 45 minute drive so nothing is too far away. Of the newly built properties Cordial have two very popular and semi-luxury choices in the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel and Cordial Mogan Valle Apartments.
