Gran Canaria Bus Services

For such a diverse island we have an excellent bus service operated by “Global” with Las Palmas having its own city service "Guaguas Municipales"

bus

The unfortunate thing when planning a journey by bus here is figuring out which service to get and worse, what time it arrives. The norm is for each service to have a start and a finish point and time which is great but then there’s a list of stops along the way with no times to say when the bus reaches each intermediate stop.

Hopefully this will give a better guide on which are the more popular and better services (Global) to use and the times they run everywhere.

Generally if you get a bus at the top of the hour from Mogan you’ll be in Taurito 10 minutes later, Playa del Cura 15 minutes after that ….

Mogan – 0:00
Taurito – 0:10
Playa del Cura – 0:25
Puerto Rico – 0:35
Patalavaca – 0:45
Arguineguin – 0:50
Faro de Maspalomas or
Playa del Ingles 1:10
San Agustin 1:25
Bahia Feliz 1:35
cc Atlantico 1:55

Now for the more common/useful services :-

01 – Las Palmas – Mogan

Great service from Mogan to cc Atlantico in Vecinadrio but don’t use this to go to the airport or Las Palmas.  Goes via Maspalomas. This is a “stops everywhere” bus and takes twice as long as the semi-direct services.

Mogan + Taurito + Playa del Cura + Amadores + Puerto Rico + Maspalomas + San Fernando + Beverley Park (only stop in Playa del Ingles) + San Agustin + Playa del Aguila + Bahia Feliz + cc Atlantico

30 – Faro Maspalomas – Las Palmas

Good semi-direct service to Las Palmas stopping at the airport.

Maspalomas + Playa del Ingles + + San Agustin + Playa del Aguila + Bahia Feliz + Airport + Las Palmas

32 – Puerto de Mogan – Playa del Ingles

Puerto de Mogan to Faro Maspalomas DIRECT then goes through Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles

33 – Puerto de Mogan – Playa del Ingles

This stops everywhere : Mogan + Taurito + Playa del Cura + Amadores + Puerto Rico + Maspalomas + Playa del Ingles

50 – Faro Maspalomas – Las Palmas

Direct service takes around 45 minutes (does NOT stop at the airport)

66 – Faro Maspalomas – Airport (also known as the airport bus from Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles)

Maspalomas + San Agustin + Playa del Aguila + Bahia Feliz + Airport

91 – Playa del Cura – Las Palmas (also known as the airport bus from Puerto Rico or Mogan)

Playa del Cura + Amadores + Puerto Rico + Patalavaca + Arguineguin + Airport + Las Palmas

If you’re going to Las Palmas then all the Global buses stop at San Telmo then it’s best to change there onto a local guaguas service to wherever you want to go. There’s a map of the full service here just match up the numbers to know which service to catch. They generally go at 10 minute intervals.
