The biggest day/event of he year as far as fiestas go, the big carnival parade in Las Palmas.

With over 100,00 lining the streets by day and night, the big parade consits of over 130 floats parading through the main streets of the city. The parade starts in the historic quarter around 16:00 and travels through Leon y castillo to Doramas Park then on to the port area of the city, finishing around midnight.

Though the parade finishes the dancing, music and fiesta continues until 4 or 5 in the morning. Around 50% of the spactators by day amd 90% in the evening are in carnival costume so dress to impress if you want to experience the island's biggest party.
