Largest romeria on the island during the year; this takes place in Teror in the north of the island and is to honour the patron saint of Gran Canaria. The main events take place on the 6th and 7th as people from surrounding towns set off walking on the 6th to reach Teror for the 7th.

On the 7th from 14:00 onwards there's music, dancing, marching bands and at around 16:30 a procession starts as the offerings are paraded through the streets (drawn by oxen and horse-drawn carriages) to the church to lay at the feet of the virgin.

Tens of thousands of people line the streets and there's more musci and events that take place all through the evening and well into the early hours.
