More of a local market and though many stalls are the usual guys that are on the tourist markets further south/west during the week, there are a lot of local stalls selling fruit and veg, local produce and warez for the local residents.

Quite a big market but take advantage of the location and shop until you drop! As well as the market, close by is the Atlantico commercial center,  a very nice shopping center with dozens of clothing shops, electronics, Carrefour supermarket and so on. 

A 5 minute walk behind that and your on Avenida de las Canarias, a street about 3 kilometers long with hundreds of shops all the way along.

There's several regular bus services from the resorts to Vecindario & it's a very easy 15 minute drive from Maspalomas / Playa del Ingles.
