Once a more modest event for a couple of hours in recent years this event has boomed into one of the biggest carnival parades .... equal in size to that of the capital's parade a couple of weeks earlier, with around 120 floats decorated for the night each with its own theme and packed with revellers also dressed to impress. An trueltacular event to watch that parades through the ets of Playa del Ingles for several hours, until midnight. After that the tens of thousands of revellers that want to party all night will head to the streets in and around the Yumbo Center to dance until the early hours. 

As the evening unfolds more and more spectators will arrive in fancy dress until around midnight when you will be hard pushed to find anyoone not in costume. Everone really does get into the carnival mood.
