Are there any Second-hand furniture shops in Gran Canaria which sell items such as bedding and 3 piece suites, tables and chairs, etc.? Any help appreciated

In the north you'll find Rastro's - there is a big one in Guarnateme - they'll pick up and deliver. This one is run by guys who are in drug rehab schemes and any money made from furniture is put back into the rehab.

South - Trotters is the main one. There is another one in Maspalomas somewhere.

Car boots every Sunday now in Arguineguin too - in the Big Top near Anfi

Are the car boots where the markets are held, otherwise if we get a taxi do we ask for the Big Top?

There is a second-hand shop in PDI it is up near the Ronda Commercial Centre it is called
Rastro Del Sur & it is in Calle Lanzarote Blq.1 (Sotano)San Fernando de Maspalomas. The telephone number is 928767002.
The Car Boot Sale at Paradise Lost is organised by a local dog Rescue & has only just re-started as they had to get a licence. (contact telephone number 670827989. We went last week but it was only the first week. Must say it was very enjoyable - Music,Bar & Car Boot. Unable to go this sunday as we were going to friends. There is also a Car Boot Sale organised by the Lions Club on the first saturday of the month - It is held at the Ancora Centre in Arguineguin & starts at 2pm. Tel. 647580633.

Thank you all for the great information. Can someone give me an indication where "Guarnateme" is located. Nothing very precise, just the general location or some well-known landmark in the area.

Guanateme is sort of near the Auditorium in las Palmas. The rastro is on the main road between Plazoleta farray and the Guanateme centro de salud.

For a fantastic pine warehouse open to the public ( one of the biggest and best i have ever been to anywhere ) "Maxio" C/Fresno S/N Aringa this place is wonderful and very good value for everthing pine , it is just around the corner from "el corte ingles opportunidades" near vecindario you can see opportunidades from the motorway . Maxio is just down the side road open normal spanish times . You would never know it is there unless someone told you about it. Really very worth wile going to for all things pine .
