Almost every week we get calls from Timeshare Touts offering to sell our Timeshare or offer us exceptional deals on additional weeks. What they do not seem to grasp is the internet is awash with people giving it away for free.

I dont know how to convince them this means we will not be giving them any up front fees to sell our weeks 'at the full market value' nor will we be buying any more weeks at a discount price of 'nearly half the market value' plus a fee. The market value is zero.

The calls are coming from people who have scammed our contact details from exchanges we have done in previous years. When we ask who gave them our details they claim it is from a public register of Timeshare Owners (which does not exist).

Now when we have a call showing as 'international' and they address me using an incorrect name we simply say bye and hang up. The name we gave while on the exchanges is not how people usually address me. The people who I want to talk to have my preferred name.

How long before the penny drops.
