help with decision!

me and my friend are going to work in gran canaria in june for 2months I have been offered a holiday apartment for £1200 for the duration- 1 bedroom. Some people are saying this is expensive but every place that I have spoken to about renting usually charge an agency fee which would work out at the same expense. Should we just take the holiday apartment or keep searching?

thats about 1700 euros - for 2 months. That does seem expensive. There are three bed places on my complex for 850 euros a month. Yes you have to give a deposit etc but if all is well with the place when you leave, then you should get it back.
I'd keep looking or just book a 2 week package deal to get here and have 2 weeks accom.

mimz,that price is total robbery. At todays EUR/GBP rate, it equates to 1770 euros, which for 60days, equates to 29.50 euros per day. U would be better off staying in a hotel.Unfortunately, lots of the websites offering rentals, prey on newcomers and overcharge accordingly. U haven't said which area you will be staying, as the prices can vary. But it should be possible to rent a 3 bedroomed prop in the south for 600 euros per month. Live in Vecindario and get 3 bed plus garge for 420 euros per month.

I have just done a quick search in alpharooms.........1 bed aprt for 30 days in June for 595 euros in PR. That's holiday rate. Maspalomas 615 euros for same period. So, you should be able to beat these prices. Good Luck.

the complex marys on has 2 beds at 650euro a mth and 3 beds at 750 euro you need 1 mth deposit and 300euro wlf there very nice only draw back for me was no pool there number is 0034 928 56 19 74

Thats right - no pool but that means less community charges for us and less noise from the pool!! And the sea is down the road!!
