We stayed at the Dacil for three nights last April. We found it was really good if you dont expect too much, it is a 3* hotel and I think that's about right. We booked a standard room on 3 night half board deal but asked for a high room and were upgraded to a huge room on the top floor with tremendous views across the island, at no extra cost. From what I have read elsewhere the standard rooms are okay but basic. The food was perfectly acceptable but not award winning. The trick is to get to the dining room at opening time or wait until the chef puts out a freshly cooked batch of whetever is on offer. The only food I couldn't eat was the cooked breakfast which was awful. There are plenty of alternatives though. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean. The location is about two minutes walk from the promenade and about five minutes walk to the centre of Los Cristianos.
