Hello everyone, it’s been a while….
My partner and I are thinking of having a week in Gran Canaria in Sept. He has a 3 year old son, so we’re looking for an all inclusive resort that will keep him entertained.
Do any of you have any suggestions?

I remember this being discussed not long ago and if I remember correctly, Eden apartments seemed to be leading the discussion

Are the Eden apartments all inclusive now?

Although a more expensive option the R.I.U. Vistamar is tops for everything especially the kids. The animation team there work so hard to keep them all entertained, they have a kiddies only pool that is well supervised also they have their own purpose built playhouse with all the toys, crayons, paints etc etc. They even have their own kiddies sun lotion too, it's great watching them all getting on together so well hopping and skipping around the place.
I have been back and forth with the idea of one of these 2 hotels (altamar and eden)
I contacted a lady through a trip advisor who had just been to eden- she said food was great, entertainment was fab and it ticked all the boxed for kid but it does NOT have a kids club, altamar have a kids club(as far as I know)
if you want cheap and chearfull the edem aptments should suit but be worned the Apatments are very basic the food is honest fare though ok at best. The Play area is a good size but not realy ok for a 3 year old. We stayed in these last year but spent very little time in them. Good Position for the Europa centre and getting down to Amadores beach other wise if you want 1 star its for you.
Never stayed at the Eden but we have stayed at the Altamar, tbh it's quite a big complex which offers A/I, it is a nice friendly place plenty of families and for us situated in a better place than the Eden. It's a short walk to the Europa but at night it is peaceful enough to get some sleep and when you wake up in the morning you have fantastic views. Shop and laundry on site, my kids are too old for kids clubs, so can't comment sorry. Colinamar not a bad one either but would say rooms and views a lot nicer at the Altamar, my mate recommends Riosol. What a choice you have to make, that's a good few hours reading on the Internet.![]()

I have also not stayed at the Eden, but have a few times at the Altamar, if i had the choice of either i think it would be the Altamar tho..Altamar has a kids club, really good for A.I, great views and they have been refurbishing all of A side, this was last year so not sure if the B side has also been done. I think a couple of years ago Eden were getting bad reviews and this is possible as to why i was put off, however on checking trip advisor the comments recently have been pretty good..
Have a fab holiday for whatever decision you make..
