howdy

As you can see from the name im a newbie here and I am thinking of booking these apts through my friends timeshare membership for a week at the end sept/beg oct and had a couple of questions if anyone has stayed there before or thereabouts:

has anyone been to or know anyone who's stayed at these apts? if so whats the area like?

have never stayed in taurito and was wondering if it was far from puerto rico as we'll prob go there most nights? In saying that tho ive not been to PR for about 6 years!

If anyone can help with these queries or can provide any tips, it would be much appreciated.

saw these apts in may on the way to puerto mogan.
they are nestled on a mountain in a very quiet area just a short hop from puerto mogan but a little further from puerto rico. they have a tennis court and their own entertainment programe to be honest they are more suitable for people looking to get away from the hustle bustle. a taxi trip from here in to p. rico will be around 12euros and about 3-4 euros in to p mogan I do know there is a courtesy bus runs a few times a day to both rico and mogan from them as I used to see it go back and forward.

We are arriving at Cala Blanca tomorrow and have not stayed there before. We did however get a call last night from the Rep to inform us that they have had to close the shop, restaurant, bar and entertainment down as the company who subcontract that work for the hotel have packed up and cancelled their contract. They say that we can have full access to a sister hotel next door that has bar/restaurant/entertainment and they are increasing the shuttle buses to PR from 3 days-a-week to 7 days-a-week but they stop running at 5pm so no good for going out at night. Not happy but we will see what happens when we get there. I would think some form of compensation should be offered. We are Diamond Resort Members and pay £800 per year in maintenance fees alone, so you don't expect this sort of thing to be happening...grrrr

OMG, not good! We are staying as guests of my partner's father who also has this membership and i doubt he would be happy knowing that either. Certainly not what you would expect from a Diamond resort! :veryangry:

Youre right tho I wouldve thought more in the way of compensation due for the inconvenience this will cause to your holiday other than extra courtesy buses which even then are not operational in the evenings when you would need them.

We arrive at the end of Sept for a weeks stay, we recd the booking confirmation at the wkend although no mention of these problems! Thanks for the heads up tho, let us know how you get on and we hope it doesnt have too much of a negative impact on your holiday!
