I saw one of these the other day they are a little odd but could be a fun way to travel if you have all day lol

They can only go 40 and are only suposed to go on the coast raod - not the motorway, although they have been spotted. They do look fun though

The engine is too small 49cm3. I suspect that the top speed of 45km/hr (28 mph) could only be achieved going down hill with a tail wind. Their use should be confined to minor roads, not the GC 500. They do offer an alternative attraction however, and are very colourful to look at. Probably quite suitable for the Playa del Ingles area as it is realtivey flat, but hilly Puerto Rico ???

I would be more tempted to go with Big Jim and his buggy tours, designed for off-road conditions and an engine size capable of climbing hills.

think they can cause a lot of arguments regards who gets out to push them up the hills ha ha.
Also find it disturbing they are actually allowed on the gc 500. think they should have a wee man walking in front of them waving a red flag lol. and you will have to buy a noddy hat for to look the part enough said

Yeahhhh,

Last week I've rented one with my friend who was over here for a couple a days.

We experienced the GC500 and had no problems at all.
Why not allow these little ones on that road?
The cars that drive faster can pass.
There are also bicycles on the GC500. And tourists in cars that drive 35 km/h.

Our funcar reached 55 or 60 km/h. Not bad at all. A bit bumpy sometimes. gheghe

The guy who rents them out is dutch, speaks english.

putting one of them things on the gc 500 is no better than letting a kid on an a road here with a doll in a pram fact.

The GC1 is the motorway - and they arent allowed on there
GC 500 is the coast road - where the cyclists etc go.

Since the G.C.1 replaced the G.C.500 as the main route down from the airport a good few years ago now, traffic on the 500 is mostly very light, ideal for these little runabouts !!!!!!

well I dont want to sound negative but a days rental is 57 euros for one of them noddy cars you can hire a decent motor for three days from record car rental for the same price and you will be a lot safer than sitting in one of them contraptions as has been said already an accident waiting to happen.
