Spent a day in El Medano, Tenerife, surfing. There is a surf shop in the town, in the old part that rents boards and wet suits - about 15 euros for 3 hours.
Great surf and a good bar at the far end of the boardwalk for the snacks afterwards.
Also a haven for those kite surfers and windsurfers.
beach a bit rocky and can be uncomfortable for those who are in charge of the bags - but loads to watch to pass the time
