Jardin Dorado - Campo de Golf

Hi All

Has anyone stayed in the Jardin Dorado bungalows in the Campo de Golf area of Maspalomas and would like to share any useful information ?

I stayed there for a few weeks in 2004. The bungalows are basic and clean with a proper 4 hob cooker with an oven, which is good if your self-catering. Air-con in the bedroom a bit noisy but not really needed in GC. Good pool area with two pools, the smaller one heated in the winter. Small shop on the complex, a bit expensive as always. A good cheap supermarket in the little Dunaflor shopping centre nearby.(5 to 10 mins. walk.) The complex was very peaceful when I was there, which I like, mostly elderly Germans, a lot of them staying for quite a long time. The area around is very quiet but there were always plenty of taxis around and it´s only a 10 min. walk to the Faro 2 centre. The complex restaurant did a decent evening buffet and there´s a pizza place across the road, and of course loads of eateries in Faro 2. There´s a tennis centre and a gym just across the road too if your feeling energetic.
I wouldn't hesitate in going again but of course it depends on what your looking for on your holidays, the peace and quiet bit is very important to me!!!

Many thanks for your review of the Jardin Dorado - it sounds perfect - peace and quiet and close to other attractions if wanted. Can't wait until May !!
