nightmare paperwork, getting my girl into school! HELP!

:confused: Hi everyone,
Had a nightmare of a time, trying to get our little girl into school in Arguineguin. Needed to have a social security No', got one from Maspalomas, took it to school, not good enough, then had to go to Cental Salud & get Tarjeta Sanitaria??? Doctors report from England &"red book" was no good, cos' they wanted it all in Spanish!!! Can anyone help with the proceedures for getting a child in school, we're at our wits end !!!! :wub: What does it all mean & whats the social security No' for, as children can't have one of these we were told, so why ask for it at school, also whats the sanataria card for????

According to this site all you would need from the doctor would be a translation of the immunisations. You would need official translations of birth certificates etc. Recognised translators can be found on www.ukinspain.com

The tarjeta de sanitaria - I think - is needed so your daughter can go to the centro de salud - doctors surgery within the NHS

if you send a p.m. to viv,a member of this forumn,i am sure she will help you,she as recently enrolled her daughter at arguineguin and son at motor grande,both started school there before christmas. john.
