Hello!

I am new to the forum, I´ve been a "silent bystander" for a pretty long time but now decided to activate an account. I am a former scuba guide, I used to work on the island in 2002.

There is an ongoing debate on our local (Finland) travel forum. Some traveller claims that in Puerto Rico you no longer can find a pint of beer for 1 euro. Is this true? Has the price of a Pint gone up to 2,30 euros or so, as he claims?

most of the bars in Phase IV off the commercial centre sell local lager for €1 , obviuosly the imported beer will be more expensive

can still get a pint for one euro in places but if you want something that is a bit more drinkable you have to pay a bit more.

Don't think prices in the centres have increased, but you have to check places out first, obviously. Some restaurants may charge a bit more for a beer.
In the Europa you can get 1.50 e pints, great offers on bottled lager shorts and alcopops too....( well I definately know one that does! lol) and if you're up there anyway( or especially come up to watch the great Chloe lee, Elvis, Showaddywaddy,Chris Mooney, etc at the Barbacoa!), saves you a taxi ride and a wait late on when you want to come back up.

m and m´s last night was 90 cents for a pint of local beer and 1 euro for most bottles, ( bud) large bottle as well. local spirits were 1.25, and the place was packed. I wonder why.

I`m sure other people may have noticed this but you only get 0.4 of a litre ie. 400ml instead of 568ml which is a pint in most of the pubs in PR.This is fine if you are getting this for 1 to 2 Euros but when some places are charging you 3 to 4 Euros then this is just a rip off.

You can't beat that bottled Tropical, especially the gold label ones but I wouldn't have a clue how much it is.:boozy:
