media markt I suppose would be your main place - they have a website but they dont put prices on or Corte Ingles.

Checked out Media Market along with many other shops in Gran Canaria and have found that you will get a better deal on the internet using say www.komplett.co.uk (http://www.komplett.co.uk) or www.pixmania.co.uk (http://www.pixmania.co.uk) (part of the Dixon/Curry group but with better prices) All of your documentation will also be in English. Pixmania will very often offer a 2 year guarantee.

I have shopped a lot in both of the above, and while I have encountered a few problems, they were dealt with in a very professional manner. There are of course many other excellent outlets. Buy one of the camera magazines and see for yourself.
The following is a very good site for reviewing cameras http://www.dpreview.com/

there are some who are saying that they experienced unprofessional after-sales from pixmania. is this true?
