Food and Petrol Prices in Spain

We have come up with some prices of basic groceries purchased in a local supermarket in one of the tourist resorts in Spain to give you some indication of the costs involved if you are here on a self-catering holiday.
All of the prices quoted are based on locally supplied goods and if you purchase the local beers,wines and spirits you will see that it all works out much cheaper.
Average prices of general groceries in Spain:
Loaf of sliced bread €1.25, 1L milk€0.80, 1kg sugar€0.85, 12 large eggs€1.25, 250g butter€1.40, Medium jar coffee€2.85 260g, boiled ham€1.75 300g, Edam cheese€1.95 500g, chicken breast €3.20 750g, tomatoes€0.89,5 kg potatoes€2.00 1.5kg oranges€1.70, 600g avocado€2.35, 4 x 100g baby food€1.90, 1.5L water€0.40, 2L cola €1.40, 1L beer€1.15, 75cl bottle red rioja wine €3.99, 75cl bottle white rioja wine€2.00, 1L gin€10.50. Petrol prices per litre:
Unleaded €0.87 98 Super €0.95 Diesel €0.88

whats so funny is petrol is cheaper than loaf of bread if it were only like that over here
