In the Taxi

you've planned the holiday like a military operation. you thought of nothing else for months on end and you are finally on the way to the airport when .....the other half starts..... did i leave the oven on? did you close the back window....etc etc.. are all women the same???

we went last year ordered a meal at the airport then diane says did you mind to lock the car door so rushed across to the staff car park pressed the car key button from a distance click click great stuff back to airport to enjoy my meal and away for 2 weeks yahoo.

arrived home went for the car diane says aw no the car window has been broken and been taped up 2 minutes later it dawned had to put the window down to enter my car park pass and forgot to close it. luckily my boss noticed it and sealed it up.

Missed the Taxi

If That Counts

Last year we were in Turkey and had a total blonde moment when checking departure date
We always take fourteen nights but for whatever reason this holiday was booked for thirteen nights

So there me and the better half 2 in the morning wandering ( staggering actually ) when the receptionist informs us that Taxi had been there for us

Being full of the booze we thought taxi company had made mistake

Following morning maid enters our room at eight in the morning
she gets surprise to find room occupied
We wake up realizing " it was not a dream A taxi had been there for us "

Big panic sets in.. Tour rep NOT interested
No flights back to UK for two days
Panic about last minute flight prices .. extra nights in hotel etc
and of course it was all my fault

hotel owner saw funny side and let us stay on for the grand total of £ 20
son managed to get us booked on flight to Glasgow for £ 13 each + meal + taxes

So for an extra £ 110 we enjoyed an extra three days of holiday
