Naked on the beach.

Have any of you lot had your kit off on the maspalomas beach yet? Hehe
We did, last year. My girl friend and I managed to find our selves a quiet spot after about a 10 minute walk along the beach and away from all the posers and having seen others naked dotted around us we nervously decided to give it a go and after a bit of humming and Iing ,we went for it.
We both had never, in our lives done anything like this before and decided to risk it, it took a little getting used too but after a while we became experts.
Don’t get me wrong we are not exhibitionists or anything like that we kept our selves to our selves and simply tried what everyone else was doing. It was great, we thoroughly enjoyed it, sun baking naked. We enjoyed it that much we have even booked to go again this September and give it another do. :blush: Hehe

Has anyone else took the plunge and risked it?

Well Bigbaz it looks like the top end of the beach is going to be fairly quiet this year, which is better for us. Hehe

Oh…and Mary we will be taking suncream and to be honest we wont need much. Hehe

Now you mention it and also trying to keep the topic clean.
A word of caution.
Just because you’ve been sun bathing for an hour or two and every thing appears relaxed. Don’t forget what cold water can do to the male anatomy because to my embarrassment I made this mistake. Because at one point and to my horror I found myself trapped and treading water for quite a while, while waiting for a gap to appear in the passing beach strollers (combers) so that I could get back to my towel without generating too much of a laugh and not only that you have to try and appear like you’re not bothered.

We have been to Jandia in Fuerteventura recently and as most people on the beach were nude, my wife also went nude. However she wont if its the exception, only if most do. We're going to Meloneras in Gran Canaria next month. Is nude sub bathing common there?

Generally the spanish like thongs with a bikini top.
English prefer bottoms or thongs and topless.
Main beaches are with cossies as above but there are parts of maspalomas beach (past cabin no.5?) that are allocated as nudist. Meloneras has nudists but they are a minority

But from the websites on aldea-de-san-nicolas listing all the beaches there. Some still list (as San nicolas de tolentino)
(some of them you can only get to by boat) There are a couple of nudist beaches where the spanish do this there. There was also one just past playa del cura where the Germans hung out(forgive the pun)ha ha but that is being developed now.At least on one of those you wont bump into someone you know, Or end up with a white face cos of the bag over the head.

We were on the beach in Aldea on Sunday and everyone had their cossies on - but maybe round the corner, in the next bay - away from the village it may be nudey

Hope you enjoyed your trip out Mary it is something else down there in tomato land. All our workers live there.The town centre very interesting and very lively at night.And very cheap for food in the locals.Its just getting there (it is an ordeal there and back in one day),But they do have a B and B in the town centre.
if anyone is really interested in nude bathing Try www.grancanaria.com (http://www.grancanaria.com) and it will direct you to those beaches. In fact there is a list of all the beaches on the island, (Secret ones ) tasartico beach is a nudie, but far out, also guii guii grande and guii guii chico even further out in san nicolas .
(Play de medio almud) between playa del cura and taurito. The ferry passengers get an eyefull with the children on the ferry shouting out mum mum look Theyve got no clothes on. But that beach now is being developed to link up with playa del cura (eventually) I think they still sneak down there under the barrier from the top road. at the weekends.
and as it is very near PR for those who like ,they can go and have a try (but you will be seen from the ferry)

On our recent trip to GC, Jules and I, along with several forum members took the Maspolomas Beach walk as challenged by Big Tony. A long walk and lucky enough, not too hot that day.
We had been promised an eyeful of excitement and delights.
unfortunately, the day we decided to go somebody had walked the beach before us with the ugly stick! everybody under 65 had gone home and to the ladies dismay, all the fellahs had obviously been swimming in very cold water. Only saw 2 sets of ladies bits, both look like they had been through both world wars!!!
Must have picked the wrong day eh!!!
Great fun though, well organised Big T.
