going to Playa del Ingles for first time on 31/12/2005 any ideas on the best place to go? We like live music especially Irish but would consider anything lively and fun.All replies welcome.Thanks:banana:

Personally prefer to be at the Yumbo Centre there are loads of pubs & clubs & there is a big firework display. You will have a fantastic time wherever you go. There is an Irish Centre called CC Aguila Roja.We would not want to spend New Years Eve anywhere else.

I'm Norwegian and coming down for the first time on new years eve too.

I've heard that Yumbo is mainly for gays? Or have I heard something wrong?

Do the clubs and bars generally get full on new years eve, ie. wouldn't be able to get in after 11 o'clock? Here in Norway we usually don't go out to clubs/bars until at least 11.. :)

Hi. Firstly; I'm totally jealous that I'm not there now to! Hope you had a great new years eve.

Yes, most of the clubs in the Yumbo centre are gay but you can have a fab time there even if you are not gay! Gay people are real partyanimals!!

You can get in before 11 but as it is custom to eat at 11 there is more people and fun in the restaurants and the bars that serve food at that time. I would go out to clubs and bars after 11..
