Hey all.
Last time I packed for P.R. I brought loads of un-necessary items.
I am trying to reduce the amount I'm packing this time.
Would I be wise to pack something for the rain/colder night time temperatures this time as a precaution?
Feel free to suggest must brings for hols and hopefully this will encourage me to empty my case and just bring whats needed.
Cheers,
AL.

money, passport, tickets
well thats what my hubby says and buy everything here.
But if you dont want to spend the whole holiday walking round in GC t shirts...
Yes, the evenings are a bit chilly, so you will need a jacket. T shirts and shorts for the day, jeans/skirt (depending on what you prefer), shirts/Tshirt for the evening
Hopefully the rain has now gone. The skies are clear blue and the sun is hot

Just returned from P R and like Mary says shorts and T Shirts by day and yes it did get a little chilly by night so I wore jeans and jacket.. But now back, to more than chilly by day or night.

Excellent. Leave kitchen sink at home. right, right.
Re the night?
Im not really a jacket person. would I get away with a hoodie/jumper or do you reckon I need a proper jacket jacket. I have one at the back of a closet in the house somewhere.

We were there New Year and early Feb, it was colder than other years in the evening but in my opinion a jumper or hoodie would be enough to keep the chill off. I`ve never felt the need to take a jacket.

By jacket, we mean, something with long sleeves and buttons or a zip, something you would wear at home on a summers evening - not a dinner jacket or suit jacket.

right so.
heres the essentials of what I plan to bring in my suitcase.
running gear. (couldn't do witout my daily runs)
pj's (shorts),
shorts for beach/diving,
tshirts for night and beach,
2 real shirts (buttons and everything)
1 jumper & 1 hoodie (wear one or other on plane to reduce load of case)
2 pairs of runners (one for beach/plane, other kinda shoey/runneree for night-time)
Ipod Charger (might pop into backpack)
battery charger & batteries(for camera)
the next one is a bit iffy. I couldn't bear to loose suitcase and loose my Underwater Camera Housing)(prob go into and fill my back pack)
have I left anything out or put too much in?

Would it not be cheaper to get sunscreen out there?
Did I not include jeans.
Defo buying toiletries out there they seem v cheap to home (excluding boot of course, the 3 for 2 genius that it is)
trying to lighten the case here people.
Looks like I dont normally overpack after all to be honest.
Maybe its down to me just flinging clothes into case taking up loads of room as apposed to what I bring?

was trying to be gentle with the readers and not act so macho.
i never understand this thing about needing a jacket for the evenings:confused:
it is never that cold. it was very cool the first week of february though, around 12c at night, needed the long sleeves for the long walk back up the hill with the strong winds that made it feel even cooler.

We never take toiletries, always buy them out there. With weight restrictions on luggage it seems to make sense.
Can take another pair of shoes instead!!!
