I'd advise you to keep your money in your wallet and purchase from one of the many reputable internet sites when you return home. Have a look at this link for further information.

I have to agree with coolcreen, we were in the Europa and were offered a camera for silly money!! Told him we would be back next evening, "Camera was ALLREADY wrapped for us and was as light as a box of matches!! We basically said BOG OFF!! A couple of days later, he said sorry and still tried to sell us a camera..I told him I had bought elsewhere!! Be on your guard as the cameras are NOT what they say on the label!!

Hi Nexty
Good advice from coolcreen and clairep.
Although there are probably some honest camera shop owners out there you must be very careful what shop to use.
You are best waiting until you get home and buying from a reputable shop there.
Then if you have any problems its easy to return it

our video camera went a bit funny i think due to the air pressure in the cabin on the plane , but it was fine after the second week corrected itself man in the shop at the europa centre tried to tell us we needed a new one it just needed cleaning out

my father had similar once down in the commercial centre -the guy claimed he had to go in the back of the shop to find the box-think he meant find something else to put in the box other than the camera! luckily we had already sussed what he was doing -beware!

Many years ago I was daft enough to purchase a camera while on holiday in Lanzarote. Never again!

You would think our camera selling 'friends' over there would have realised they have been sussed out by the majority now.

Reputable stores in the south for cameras are Visanta and Maya but you can probably find better prices in the UK at Argos etc.
