From this 1st of January this year, pharmacies in Spain are no longer supposed to sell antibiotics over the counter. They have to have a prescription.

Some may still sell over the counter but they are risking their licence if they do so. Some may be happy to risk it but dont be surprised if they refuse to sell some to you.

At present this ruling is for antibiotics only and not for other medications that you can normally buy over the counter here, that would require a prescription in the UK

I had intended in stocking up on tablets for my stomach. Would tablets for stomach ulcers, allergies & mild steroids for when I get allergys etc. be included in what you said above. I have a perscription from home could I bring that n try and blag a few extra packs?

Take in the boxes of the prescriptions you have and see what happens. The actual green prescription wouldnt be any use here.
They said its only for antibiotics and things like Valium that they need a prescription
