Has anybody got any information on this complex thats up to date?
I've checked a couple of forums and most reviews go back a couple of years, we decided to bite the bullet and book a holiday for christmas this year so we're realy looking forward to going, what's the weather like late December and is the water warm enough for the kids to swim in without getting frozen?
love to hear any information anybody has
Happy Hols to one and all:boozy:

dont know about the apts but as for the other questions , the weather in december can be brilliant i have been over new year and its been 100 degrees + on new years day and last december it was 80 most days and perfect , as for the water not sure if you mean pools or sea , the pools are heated by the sun so can be cold but you get used to it the sea will be cold , keep a look out on this site http://www.ctreviews.co.uk/apartments/ its a new site so doesnt have many reviews yet but he does ones for Puerto del Cramen and Playa Blanca and they are popular , if you want him to add these apts emai him and he will add them and you may get a up to date review put on
we are over in July cant wait LANZA here we come :boozy:

We have been to the teguisol about 3 times now
They are very family friendly and have the hardest working entertainment reps that we have seen.
It can be a bit like "butlins with the sun" but the kids love it !!!
the rooms are ok, and lots of space
The food is ok, just the normal buffet style and they have a "world corner" which is a few dishes from a different country every night
ie, TexMex,Indian, oriental, usa, etc
There is a laundry, pub, oriental restraunt on site and its only a short distance to the main drag, and still being away from all the noise.
if you do go, you must try the El Mastil restraunt( near the friday market place) its the best!!

Hi thanks for your up date, can you tell me if its near the aquapark? and where is this market place that you mentioned please

Hi twinkletoes1471,
the aqua park is about a mile or two from the apartments, on the road to the golf club. But it will only cost you 3 euro in a taxi. Also, book your tickets for the aqua park at the reception of the teguisol, because you get a discount. The reception will order you a cab to pick you up when you are ready to go. The food and drink inside the aqua park can be pricey!! but it is a good day out with things for all ages, young and old.
The market in Costa Teguise is on a Friday night, in the square just off the main road ( avenida de las islas) near the British cavery resturant. Its a small "hippy" market, but its nice to roam round and sometimes there is a spanish band playing as well. Or you can sit at one of the bars :boozy: and people watch.
The real big market is in the town of Teguise, about 10 miles inland of Costa teguise. and thats on Sundays. There are buses and tours to the market.
hope this helps,,,, let me know if theres anything else:wink:

Hi
thanks for all your help we are total lanzarote virgins as we always go to Gran Canaria as we love it so much, we've been priced out of the holiday market for it this year so thought we'd try the other canary islands, Lanzarote came in the cheapest and we will be there for christmas and new years day,
could you recommend anything to keep 2 kids occupied and happy? 4 + 13 yrs, me and mum are ok we'll watch footy or any other sports thats going on but the girls are a bit more fussy, are there any clubs for the kids at this complex? do you know if the pool is heated?
Any information about this island and the area we are going to be in would be very much appreciated
My thanks in advance
Jane

Jane, The two girls will be fine with a wide range of stuff going on at the poolside and at night, there is also a club for the wee one. the reps really work hard in entertaining you and really seem to have fun doing it. the salt water pool is not heated but there are plenty of space around the pool.

Hello,
will the pool be warm enough for swimming in in DECEMBER is the kids club open then as well and do they cater for 4 yr olds?
last holiday we went on the kids clubs was for 5 -11 yrs olds which left both kids very fed up,
do you know if the place will be busy at that time of year as we haven't been away for christmas before and we are hoping to keep them both very busy so they dont have time to be bored or demanding the gameboys etc??????

I cant say what it will be like at that time of year because I have never been out there in December. I guess that it will be a bit cooler in the evening ( and windy ).
Iam not sure about the kids clubs closing down for winter, but they do have a good kids park in the complex and just outside the back entrance ( at the little shop ) there is another park to keep your 4 yr old happy.

I was in Lanzarote last year in December and the temp was between 80 & 90 each day , and no rain , it is cooler at night and a jacket is needed and can get blustery but its like that in the summer as well
as for the kids club they ahd one in thje complex we sdtayed at and it was running BUT most (about 95%) of the people on the complex were germans and scandis and they catered for them , the rep did sppeak english but as all the kids were not brits they were speaking the kids own language
The island will be very busy at xmas so no worries there

Hi All
as you know we are staying at these apartments
we booked our 2 bedroom apartment through thomas cook
flights departing 09:35 from manchesterand arriving back in uk jan 1st at 19:15 youŽd think nobody could mess that up wouldnt you!
so our tickets arrived and our flights had been CHANGED
my marital status had been changed by the time we arrived and my daughter had mysteriously had a sex change on the flight over, oh yes our lovely 2 bed apartment has also changed shrunk into a 1 bed apartment
now, youŽd think thomas cook being a reputable tour operator would fix this promptly wouldnt you? but here we are 4 days later still syuck in this 1 bed apartment being fobbed off by our rep and her stooge. To say weŽre p****d off is a bit of an understatement:veryangry:
my warning to you all is this
CHECK YOUR INVOICE WHEN IT ARRIVES OR THEY HAND IT OVER TO YOU IN THE SHOP, DOUBLE CHECK ALL THE DETAILS ON IT AND TAKE IT WITH YOU TO RESORT,
Luckily i have just found my e mail receipt so IŽm going back to the rep now to kick some butt:blink:

Still no help from Thomas Cook:veryangry:, there latest excuse is the bloke was off for xmas day, they do have the details from our invoice though not that anything appears to have been done about it
kids are at least happy they got some presents even if theyŽre squashed in a single bed together, me, well i still aint getting any sleep on the damned sofa. dont make the mistake of thinking youŽll sleep on 1 cos its awful,
the rooms are well dated just like all the reviews state them to be, paint peeling off everywhere, attention to detail is not good , roof has leaked in the past and stained badly, apartment caters for 2 people at best, lack of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery make making food for 4 people impossible and believe me iŽve tried it!
managed to collar a cleaner today ( 8 days after we arrived ) so now we all have a pillow each and a blanket, instead of having to share 1 between 2 people
does it get any worse? well i bl**dy well hope not, got another 6 days here yet:no:
anyway, happy xmas and a happy new yr to you all
