Who's got draft Guinness these days? Last time we were there we got it in an irish pub at Amardores beach.:boozy:

Loads of places, all the Irish bars. The Cottage on Amadores, The Irish Cottage at the Europa, Scruffy Murphy's and Molly Malone's in the main CC, Flanagan's Apple by the harbour, Hawaii Hawaii by the other harbour. Try to go to Bar Marina at Puerto Mogan too.

Tiffany's, the best wee bar in Puerto Rico sells draught guinness. I blasted into a few pints of the black stuff when I was over in January.

You're a lot braver than I am then KT. I've been going into Tiffs for the last 6 years when we're over and only once saw anyone ordering the Guinness, it was an old lad from Dublin.... he only drank about half of it said it was very "soft" He drank Tropical for the rest of the night

I drink Guinness most of the year and I can tell from experience that a dodgy pint is the quickest way to lose weight ever invented.

I would never order Guinness in a pub unless I saw a good few people drinking it. Unlike other drinks, Guinness can "go off" if left in the pipes for a couple of days.

I totally agree with what you say FatFred. I didn't even know they sold Guinness and I have been regular in there since '99'
One night I was in, there were four guys at the bar drinking Guinness and I thought it was canned stuff, then I found out it was draught. You should have seen the look on Ellis' face when I asked for a pint of Guinness and he couldn't believe it when I was back about 7 or 8 mins later asking for another one....I too would never drink it unless I saw others in the pub getting stuck in. I'm really a lager man, but I love 3 or 4 pints of Guinness now and again....thing is, I drink it too fast.....just like milk.

Guinness is sold here in half barrels too, so shouldn't be sitting too long in most bars, not heard any bad reports, we've found lot of folk are quite happy with the cans or the strong export in bottles.

Lucky you, fat fred. We wont be back in PR until the back end of 2006 as we are booked to go to Italy in June/July.

You wont get the quality Guinness you get in Co Clare.

Enjoy your holiday mate.

I often have a few pints of Guinness in Tiffanys especially during the day, and I can honestly say I've never had to take one back (I,ve done this in other establishments) and always found it well acceptable!!!!!

Sadly (!) number 3 son is going to live in Dublin next week, so I feel it is my duty to investigate this fully. Watch this space!

All you Guiness lovers out there - in the supermarkets over there you'll find Guiness Export in bottles. (not cans)

I've only seen it once in the UK - and that was in a French hotel.

It is GREAT!! ( and only €2 a bottle)
BUT take care - it's 8% proof
