Hiya!
Im coming over tp PDI for the first time on saturday, woooooohoooooo!
I was wondering what types of clothes to pack? It states about 18oC is it going to be warm enough for short and even a dip in the sea? Does is get very cool in the evenings too?
Any advice would be great!
Cheers J x

We just got back on Sunday. The sea is bracing, ok when you get used to it. It has been cooler in the evenings than we have been used to, so a cardie would be useful, the temperature checks were showing about 14C at midnight. Shorts ok during the day, good sunbathing weather most days.

Hi Jennifer
During the day it's shorts and t-shirts all the way! The temperature varies from around 19 to 24 degrees in PDI.
We're just back from 10 days in PDI and were swimming every day (in the pool). The sea is still quite cold although there are always those mad caps who will swim in anything!
Night time gets a bit chilly so a long sleeved jumper or at least something to cover your shoulders would be advised.
If you're in the bars then no problems unless you sat in a draught!
Hope you have a better arrival than us. We arrived in torrential rain and 30mph winds! Thankfully it only rained at night and early morining. One moring the rain was so bad it turned the road down to the beach into a river, lifting manhole covers and washing away the shower unit at the bottom of the steps by the beach!
Anyway, the rains went away and the winds moderated and we have a great time; hope you do too!
:have-fun: Wish we were coming back out!

If you're anything like my wife , don't forget your 20 pairs of shoes...

Of course you need lots of shoes - guys have 2 pairs - flip flops and sandals - or maybe just one - flip flops.
Girls have to have:
a pair for the beach
another pair for the beach but smarter
another pair of flip flops as the first two pairs have a rubber bit between the toes, and so you might get a sore bit, so this other pair will do then
comfy pair for shopping
shopping shoes but with a little heel - for a short shopping trip
tippy tappy for the evening - with that particular skirt
other tippy tappy type but with a different heel as the other pair dont look right with this other skirt
comfy for night
trainers - as you may take up jogging along the beach - once you've seen your self in the mirror, in your bikini. We always say that, but never actually do it.
So that's 9 pairs - all with a particular purpose. So what's wrong with that!!http://www.websmileys.com/sm/dressed/bek099.gif

ah Mary, a girl after my own heart (or feet !) - between me and my 14 year old daughter we can practically fill a case just with footwear ! well it's a girlie thing isn't it - you just can't have too many pairs of shoes and that's that :packed:

About 5 years ago I went to P.R with sixteen pairs of shoes and flip flops. I also bought 2 pairs over there. You should have seen the look on the guys face at customs in Scotland when we got back. Normally people are over on their fags or booze but I was over on shoes.
Also the same with bikinis I went with 14 that year but I've cut down now to 12.

we just got back... daytime was definately Shorts and Tee Shirts, evenings most of the time was shirt sleeves but advisableas previously stated to carry something light but warm to slip into.
We did find that one day we went to Palmitos Park.... A MUST!! (animals and exoctic birds) it is up in the hills and cools off considerably up there so take a sweater. Also make your own way there by local bus it is much nicer.
It was our first time hope you enjoy it at least half as much as we did.:have-fun: photo's available for anyone interested.
