These apartments are a bit long in the tooth. Situated on a low level
just to the west side of the main shopping center, this means there could be a fair amount of noise at night.

Apartments ok, but if your up at the top you've got one hell of a climb, there are hundreds of steps to negotiate, and if your carrying cases you'll know all about it, the pool area is fine as are the apartments themselves, and your handy for the c/centre and not too far to the beach.

I stayed there last March for a fortnight and to be honest wasn't really all that impressed - the stairs are a killer, the pool wasn't great and the apartments needed doing up. And the noise from the centre made it hard to sleep.

They were clean enough and they did the job but I don't think I'll be using them again.

Sorry if you've already booked, but you said you wanted to know!!

there is a back gate up by the cainama but due to robberies a few years back this was being kept locked when i was in hence (no im not the thief lol ) all the stairs to climb and it is a killer.

ok ok, i know, its probably too too late, but ive booked for my family and along follows my sister and her family then a gaggle load of friends, so here we are all booked for cumana and everyone telling us that we're all mad but its far too late. Is it all bad? Is there any light at the end of the tunnell? Surely there is somewhere to go with my girls 5 & 7 to keep them amused. Its there first holiday. Please HELPPPPP
Thanks :)

Somewhere other than the lovely beaches in the resort or playing round by the pool? Or do you mean somewhere to escape the rest of the family? If so what about a day trip to Palmitos Park http://www.canaryforum.com/gc/palmitos.html or the aqua parks http://www.canaryforum.com/gc/aquaparks.html
You could take them on a boat trip to look for dolphins or round the coast to Mogan in a glass bottomed boat to the market (Friday).
Or if all else fails buy them an inflatable crocodile/dolphin/boat (delete as applicable) and they will make their own fun in the pool.

Whats the panic - is the place you're worried about or the amount of people?

Puerto Rico is great for kids - safe beaches, loads of things to do. Great for all and you may even have a baby sitter thrown in with that lot

I was in the Cumana in June this year and we were in a one bedroomed apartment which was a private let to us.

There was hubby myself and 14 yr old daughter. The only downfall I found with these apartments were the amount of steps from the poolside to our room. The steps are pretty staggered with lots of paths/walkways with over hanging plants and once you come to the restaurant areat it is all laid with crazy paving which is very uneven uderfoot and difficult to walk on in the dark and with high heels on.

We were lucky enough to be right at the top where there was a locked privat gate which we had the key to so coming back from the beach or bus station was easy as it was a straight walk up with about 10 steps to go down into our apartment. You could also get a taxi back to the back gate. Much easier and much cheapness €3.00 roughly.

The two bedroomed apts are near the poolside area but the one bedroomed are usually further up. You may be lucky enough to get a lower down one.

The other thing about theses apartments is that a lot of Germans, Spanish etc have bought these apts and live in them all year round and I felt a bit uneasy by the poolside as if I had invaded theri space sort of thing.

You could alo call the reception if you wanted to request a low down room. the number is 34 928 560416.

We aregoing back in January but are taking a 2 bedroomed this time and its only ended up £40 dearer than a one bedroomed and it sleeps 5.

Good Luck :D

Hi,
Anyone been to these apts recently, as we are coming out on 3rd March for a week and staying here for the 4th time. Read recently that the rooms are swarming with ants, is this true??
Thanks in advance for any coments.

Just to add to the above, we haven't had any issues the 3 times that we have stayed here in the past, rooms were always basic and clean, we're not expecting the ritz, but certainly don't want to have to deal with ants, we would rather change accomodation before it's too late, once again, thanks for any feedback in advance, I'm sure someone must have stayed here recently, so your coments would be greatly appreciated.
