Can anyone tell me if there is a public holday in lanzarote in the first
week in January?
I can vaguely remember in GC last year, that someome said everything closes, shops public transport etc for one day...
I'm not thinking about New Years Day by the way !!!
Regards Roy

Reyes Magos or Three Kings is a public holiday - more important than Christmas. 5Jan is like christmas eve and then 6th is a holiday

Thanks for that…
I assume most of the shops/restaurants will be closed on that day?
I will be staying in PB, do they have any festivals/parades etc.
Cheers Again Roy

Dont know Lanzorote itself but the night of the 5th usually would have big parades with the 3 kings travelling on camels, throwing sweets to the children and often arriving at a stage area where the children can meet one of them and tell them what they want for a pressie (like meeting father christmas)

Could you let me know what the weather is like in Canaries in February and September. Hoping to go next year and wondered which month would be best for the weather.
Thanks Pasco:thankyou:

February last year was lovey - cool evenings and sunny days but the february before was our wettest month.
September tends to be hot and the evenings/nights tend to be hot too
