Hi all,
Me and my partner have just got back from 2 weeks in P.D.I we stopped at the Barbados Apartments and were very pleased with them to begin with they are very clean and in a great location especially for the Yumbo where we spent most our nights.
A week into our holiday and we returned from the beach to find that our apartment had been robbed, we were unaware of this to begin with as the door was locked as we had left it, we had €700, 2 mobile phones with chargers, jewelery, ipod charger and a digital camera with all our holiday pics on stolen in total over £1000 pounds worth of goods, i suppose part was our fault for not getting a safety deposit box but the money was well hidden and the other stuff was in cupboards out of sight.
We reported the theft to the staff who were very ignorant and un-sympathetic saying that it was our faults as we should have had a safety deposit box, me and my partner were left with €3, we asked the receptionist if it were possible to call home to arrange some funds to be transfered to us and she said we had to use the payphone we explained that we had very little money but she didnt seem bothered.
In the end we reported it to the police and carried on enjoying our holiday.
Just thought i should let anyone planning on staying there to be extra careful and to double lock there doors and dont expect the staff there to be very helpfull:angryfire:
