Excellent Bar and Restaurant

We have just come back from Caleta de Fuste and found what is probably the best bar going now that Jabs has closed!
Its called the SLAP AND TICKLE run by Rhys, Paul, Michelle and Natalie.
Its opposite the Elba Suites Hotel in a small complex called Castillo Mar.
Theres something for everyone there from very good food the cheapest in the resort to TVs for Footy and Sport and up to date news, Karaoke, Quizzes and Bingo. There is also a Soft Play area for the children which our son loved especially the huge blackboard to draw on.
They also sell John Smith Smooth!
Well worth a visit or like us a visit every night!
Closed on a Wednesday night from 8 though.

dont know that one mate roughly where is it , i used to go to the Red Lion in the Montecastillo centre andif in the main part of Caleta i used to go the Blues Brothers and a small bar opposite the bar which does the acts on down the steps behind subway

Its at the far end of the centre opposite Elba Suites, where the walk is along the rocks/seafront to get to Nueve Horizonte
Its in a small complex, has a PR person out the front and signs showing where it is.
If you go to Red Lion you can see signs for it, well well worth a visit.

oh i know it now as i know Neuvo Horitzonte , OR THE PITS OF THE EARTH AS I KNEW WHEN I STAYED THERE, was put of Fuerte after the last time but might try it again , must admit i prefer Caleta than Corralejo and the Red Lion is run by a CITY fan so still my fav bar in caleta

I think Nuevo Horizonte is now called Costa Antigua or something like that, I'm sure Owen could confirm but it is a hell hole worse than Kings Cross in London! Fuste is nice though.

yep it is called Costa Antigua(shame as Antigua is gorgeous) and it is a hell hole especially the Oasis Tropical

i remember passing this place(2000) on the way to caleta de fuste the coach stopped to let 2 men of in there 30s-they had a few drinks on the plane-there faces were a picture when there were getting off dont think they could believe were they had to stay we had booked last minute so it was accomadation on arrival luckily for me and my now husband we were put in caleta.caleta was were he proposed to me and we hope to visit again with our now 3 kids.
