I need to find somewhere in the south for my parents to stay - flatish area, not too much walking, good restaurants nearby. Somewhere where my dad can paint whilst sitting on the balcony and my mum can people watch.
Any ideas

Mogan sounds ideal - Puerto Rico - way too hilly (unless you are a goat!)

There was a thread somewhere about the irish bar right on the harbour which rents out apartments above it. Will try and search it. I've got to ask....have you tried Owen to see what he's got available?

I've told my mum to ask Owen but i wanted some ideas of places that people thought may be good. I've heard of the irish bar - Bar marina, I think. I wondered if they would be noisy

Hello!
Now Mary! ( a nice kind lady that makes a lovely cup of coffee)
Why don't you make a reservation with "Club de Mar" in Puerto Mogan? This unit is gorgeous and right on the harbour! Great views, swimming pool and away from all the noise and "racket"(lol)
of Puerto Rico. Now i think i know your tastes and i think this one is the one for you!
Problem Solved!

Bar Marina have apartments all over the place in Puerto Mogan, don't think that they'd be near the bar. Have you thought about Playa del Cura, near the beach?

Thanks everyone. Club de Mar didnt have anything available in october - shame. Mum has booked with bar marina in the end. She panicked a bit when she looked at their website which talks about Plasma Tv and good irish food and Guiness - no offence to anyone, but its not my parents scene. i tried to explain to her that that is where the apartments are booked, not where they are.
I'm sure they'll have a good time. Anyone who wants to volunteer as entertainment officer for them is welcome to take the job on!!
