Taking the plunge ??!!

Hi all :) . Well we found this site and think it's great, my wife and i are in the process of deciding if it's time to move out of the u.k and make a new life in Gran Canaria ? Im a plumbing and heating engineer and my wife does admin and she can speak very basic spanish. I think i have read all the posts in this section and found it very informative , especially the bits about not selling up in the u.k first, and making sure it's rite for us etc, before we make the big commitment . We are comming over for 2 weeks from 6th october (staying in maspalomas)and are making up a very very long list of questions, so we would be really interested in meeting up with some of you ex-pats for some beers and long chats. would be great to hear from you all .catch ya laters n happy sunbathing.
