Hi all,
first of all, what a fantastic site http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Ok, I have just booked this fantastic looking hotel for 2007 after taking a look at it last year.
I, like most was looking up from street level at the people at the edge of the infinity pool saying to my partner, "next year that has to be us".
Well sure enough it will be.

So, to those that have been, could you please advice on the following.......
1. We have booked a room with a pool view...but what floor would you say would be best??? Please keep in mind that Sandra, my partner, will not go in to a lift, but we don`t really want to be on the ground floor.
We normally ask for 3rd floor max....would this be a good choice??

2. I have read that there`s no point in taking your own beach towels as the hotel only lets you put out there`s.
Is this true and if it is, how on earth do you remember which one`s are yours if they all look the same??? (sorry if that's a stupid question by the way.

3. We are going half board, what is the dress code???
Will I be ok in jeans and shirt or smart T/shirt???

4. Anybody know where I can get hold of the DVD the hotel sells online??

Many thanks for any help you guys can give.
All the best,
Andy.

Hi Andy,

To be honest anywhere in the hotel that has a pool view you should be fine with as the view is overlooking the great gardens and pool and the beach beyond it so i don't think it makes much difference on what floor you are.Just be sure that when you arrive you have actually been allocated a pool view and they dont bung you in a mountain view room which believe me is a right disappointment.I stayed in one a few years back and had a lovely view of the kitchen bins below!!

As far as the towels go, yes I think most people do use the hotel towels even if they have their own as it is so convenient to bring them back and leave them to be collected and get some fresh ones.I honestly can't remember if people do still use their own (I was trying to rack my brains to remember if i saw any there).I had brought my own with me and ended up just using the hotels for convenience and if you go to the beach the odd days you'll need it for there anyway so I would say just see what the story is as far as that goes when you arrive and can suss out what the other guests do!

The question about finding your towel amongst all the others is actually quite a good point! The pool are/grounds are quite extensive so I would just say keep tabs on where you are located at the pool side - you will surely have other bits and bobs with you that will help you find your towel again!!??(have i got the gist of what you meant Andy?)

The dress code - there are a number of places to eat in the hotel and there is a really posh restaurant there which YOU DEFINITELY have to dress up for.I remember the sign reading NO JEANS/SHORTS etc and TIE AND JACKET REQUIRED or words to that effect. I think the other places to eat there aren't quite so strict but overall I think they like people to make at least a bit of effort but nothing too OTT.Most other guests I saw there were quite smartly dressed in the evenings though some in my opinion went a bit overboard with their spangly, sequined dresses thing going on!!!(the ladies that is, not the guys, ha ha!) I only went on the B AND B option and ate out every night so am not sure on the full status quo about that one.

Overall Andy I think you will not be disappointed there as it is a fantastic looking hotel and the rooms are great, the bathroom in particular is fab.All marble, double sinks, huge filmstar mirror and a separate shower cubicle and bath.Really plush rooms! I am with you on the pool being the real blinder for this hotel and like you it was what drew me to stay there too!!

Anyway, hope this helps and have a great time.:have-fun:
