If you'd like a good start to your night out you should go to the Celtic bar.

It is situated on calle escorial by the Tropical centre. English, Irish and Scotts come together and make the building shake:-D

Skysports, karaoke, free bingo fri, sat and sun with very nice prices, free pool and darts. Also marvolous food is served.

Owner is a very nice bloke from England. The other bars nearby have been very rude to him and his staff, so come and support him.

He is a very good friend of mine.
See you down there:banana:

Hi,
Is this bar decked out in Celtic FC stuff and the like or is it a Celtic prounounced Keltic bar?.If it is the former I can tell you that although I am Scottish I will definately not be visiting this bar.I go on holiday to escape all this bigoted behaviour.

There are a few things of Celtic team stuff in the bar but other teams are represented aswell. The owner wants it to be more of a "Keltic" bar where it doesn't matter what team you root for. He is not a football fan himself so there is no football talk going on either. :-D Thankfully!

Saturday night is the night you cannot miss out on at Celtic bar!

The Karaoke night party starts at 9 with english Chris (not me!) winding people up on the microphone.

Last saturday we all had a blast! Even people who said they would not sing went up there and gave it a go! Chris really knows how to do a karaoke party!

So come on down and party with us!!

Just to clear up some questions I've had:

It is the spanish owned bars that has been hard on him... They don't like it when they get competition from "foreigners"...

His homemade chilli con carne, chicken curry etc. is absolutely fabulous!

Hello all,
My young family visited this bar last week on our way back from the Yumbo Center. The large polite chap behind the bar got talking and asked where we've been. I mentioned the Yumbo, only to be laughed at with a reply of, "Err! not much going on there is there? It's all full of poofs! I was gob smacked, I have very socialist views. It was our second time In succession here In Gran canaria and after commenting that It was good (In fact the best entertainment around), we drank up and left, never to return. Hope to see you again he shouted as we left. No mate I don't think so! Just a shame a few people do Indeed have these bigoted views, since 95% of the visitors to the Yumbo are straight.
Cheers all

Promoting bars/your mates is one thing, but has his views changed? Homophobia/discrimination has no place anywhere does It? For the far right maybe, but surely not in the tourist/entertainment Industry when all sorts must be welcome for something to succeed, hence empty bars!

there is always a lot going on at the yumbo so i would not have said that, yes i do say poof instead of gay but that is from my upbringing not from bigoted views, chris my only full-time member of staff is gay.its a shame your scialist views didn,t come with common sence or you could have worked out that have no bigoted views about gays (or football) just a lack of schooling
