Hi there
Does anyone know of anyone that repairs tv's in Gran Canaria or is it no longer worth having them repaired ? The TV in question is only two years old and the colour has all of a sudden gone funny - it is normal in the middle of the screen but at the sides it has gone very green. Any advice appreciated

Hello!
There is a tv repair centre in that ¨hideous¨ looking building next to the Police Station in San Fernando. You can park your car in the carpark in front of the centre(that´s ¨if¨ you have a car of course)The tv repair centre is at the back of the building(upstairs).
It sounds like the tube has gone (or ¨donald ducked¨ as they say down south). With Plasma and LCD tv´s so cheap now it might not be worth having repaired.
The centre itself doesn´t come with ¨postcard views¨ but if you are wandering about the place try a ¨delicious¨ espresso coffee in the bar next to the carpark.

Sounds like it could be as simple as the purity out. Have you put your hifi speakers beside it? It may just need de- gaussed (remove any magnetic field).

Thanks so much for your help. I was eorried it might be the tube as I have heard that isn't worth getting repaired as they are so expensive to replace. Update on the condition of the TV is that there are different colours round the side of teh screen in a circle green, pink etc. Does this sound like the tube ? We did know about the magnetism thing and both the DVD player and the stereo are next to the TV but it's been like that for a year or more and nothing has happened before. Thanks again for all your help.
