JayKay - the easiest way from Kasbah to the tropical centre would be along the promanade as it ends at the CC Tropical - or you could walk up towards the Corona Roja and turn right just past The Point and Rockin Jocks Bar.

ANDYHULL You've lost me now, by promanade do you mean the PDI beach as you go down the escalator and through a little shop centre, just past the PLAZA? Do you turn left then when you get to the bottom of the steps when you get to the beach. Not very familiar with that part, have been down to the beach several times but that's as far as it goes. Am I right in thinking it's in the San Agustine direction. Another question is it far to walk?

No, you go left instead of down the escalator. But I usually go along avenida Italia; also to the left from Plaza. As Andyhull wrote past the point and to your right. You can see the centre when you reach the crossroad. A 5-10 minutes walk at most from Plaza.
Have a good meal!

If you keep walking past Tropical, there is a really good Italian underneath Veril Playa apartments, a big yellow building. I can't think of one in the Tropical Centre but there is a good eat all you like Chinese underneath.

JayKay - sorry - by the promanade I did mean the one which is accessed by the escalators - which you can join by walking straight through the Kazbah etc etc. and turning left.
As BlonDane said the Av Italia is just the same distance -
for info we ate at the Italian under the Veril Playa - go through CC Tropical - down all the stairs - walk straight on for about 50 yards and turn left.
The Veril Playa will be in front of you and the Italian Restaurant is underneath next to the supermarket - excellent - we ate there in February - I can certainly reccommend it.
