Believe it or not Marks & Spencer have a good rate in their exchage desks located in larger stores (about 1.42 at the moment) there's nothing extra to pay. If you take Sterling in cash Christina's exchange bureau located just up from the main taxi rank in the commercial centre also gives a similar rate if not better, again no commision on top to pay !!!!
For those who have an account with Nationwide Building society, cashpoint withdrawls are free, most other banks charge. For more info on card use abroad and their hidden cost's log onto the TISCALI website for a real eye opener.

I`ve been using M&S in the UK for years, they always have the best rate and no commission, but I`ve always bettered the rate by at least 2 cents using the exchange just along from the Balcon Canaria facing the car park in Puerto Rico.

Think thats Nanos and Christinas. Great rates ad nice people. They also do a second hand book exchange.
