Just back from PR yesterday a word of warning about Leticia Del Mar.
I was speaking to a couple last week and some one had been in there appartment and stole there camera, they did not break in they let themselves in with a key and also let themselves into the complex, this happend twice the second time they were in there appartment and the lady saw the man stood in the doorway as she lay on the bed,her husband was asleep in the lounge the man vanished very quickly needless to say.
So it could be somebody that works there or someone that has worked there and had some keys cut.
So anyone going there please be carefull.

hi there
we stayed in these apartments may 2004 and when we were there these apartments were getting broken into every other night but luckily we were never targeted but a few people had money and other valuables stolen so be careful

Never heard of a problem at this place before but i remember reading on the forum before it got trashed about similar incidents at the babalu a couple of years back where some one from reception was caught red handed in someones safe when they though they had gone out for the night. This person was dealt with by the authorities .

Thankfully its still rare for this to happen but just cause you are on holiday doesn't mean you should not take reasonable precautions :- use travellers cheques and keep them in the safe ( keep the numbers someplace else) only keep enough cash for a day or so and keep a count of what you have, (write this on the front of your stash if you like to discourage someone from taking any loose notes) keep your cash folded in a wallet in your safe etc . T:) he more organsied you appear the less likely an opportunist is going to chance taking anything.

Ive been to PR for 12 years and have to save its one of the most crime free resorts ive been to so dont be put off going again.
