Hi all,

New to this site, going to be coming out to Lanzarote this summer for a few months with a view to moving completely, I have a cousin in Playa Blanca but his place is small and he has a, err hold on I am waffling sorry, ok so I am 37 and need some advice on where I can get some cheap (at first) accomodation, even just a room or a shared place would be fine. Hopefully once I manage to get set up with a job then i can look at something more permenent and spacious.

So any ideas as to where I might find some info?

I am going out for a recce at the begining of March so please, any info on places and possible work would very much be apreciated.

:boozy:

A very popular bar in Puerto del Carmen is Rick`s Bar, run by ex pats, somewhere like that might be able to point you in the right direction.

again , the best thing to do is book a 2 week break and at least if it goes pear shaped you have a return ticket , also check in March you may find out a lot then especially if you get offered a job as they may help you find accom or give you details

just watch out as the timeshare people will be an easy option as they are recruiting daily and its dodgy and you could end up homeless and skint

Thanks m8 I have a healthy phobia of Timeshare and would not want to get involved. As you say I am going to spend the time in March hitting the streets and knocking on doors.

How do the locals react to English looking for work?
