Hi
I was trying to send an attachment through the PM system to another member but could not find a way of attaching it.
Is it possible to attach to a private message and if so how?
Thanks in advance for any replies

I decided not to add that option for security reasons, didn't want people getting a virus. I could add it if everyone wants?

Had this problem too Huggy - I don't think it is possible.
If they trust you etc then they ought to be able to at least give you a secondary E-mail address via the PM system.
You can understand people's paranoia though with the amount of spam/viruses that people get.
I reckon anyone on a forum should have an alternative E-mail address that you can give out to people until such times as you determine wether you trust them or not.
Absolutely, NO direct reflection upon you Huggy - more a reflection of the un-trusting virtual community that we are all part of I'm afraid.
Hope you manage to get your file sent.
Cheers for now.

Naw Owen - not a good idea mate. Can of worms and if people get anything undesirable via the PM system then give the site a bad name and maybe even get it blacklisted. Not worth the risk mate!
Personally, I sometimes feel frustrated because I can't share videos or powerpoints with people because of security risks but at same time understandable.
Better having a safe and secure site than having it ruined and falling over due to such things. Keep it as is I'd say.
Better safe than sorry as many of our elders would say!
