Guantanamo is a must to visit - excellent food, a wine list the length of your arm, inexpensive and only a few minutes in a taxi from PR.

Have you a rough idea of how to get there by car? We are hiring one when we go and wouldn't mind trying it.

... and don't be put off by the fact that it doesn't look much from the outside - it's my all time favourite

Can you give an example of what food they do? Is it suitable for vegetarians?

No point in recommending the sweet black pudding starter to you then?! I really can't recall if there are specific vegetarian options on the menu but if you eat fish then you'll definitely have no problem finding something you like ........... and oh, that wine list !!:boozy:

Yes,this is a great restaurant which has a menu with a massive choice! highly recommended and for sure there would be a few things suitable for todays "vegetarian".If you like this place then you should try it's sister restaurant in Pueblo Mogan just in front of the "Police Station" also rather nice......

Hello,
Went to the Guantanamo Restaurant and unfortunately at the moment it does not open for lunch (should have tried to book), then to Bar Pio Pio, which was closed for refurbishment til the 18th. We did have a fine week though staying at the Suite Princess in Taurito.
