Oasis Restaurant, top level of Agua La Perra centre is, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants I have eaten in when visiting Puerto Rico. It has been 6 months since I last ate there, but I am expecting it to still be of the high standard it was then, when I revisit in mid Jan 06. :thumb:

have read many reviews about the oasis.
will be trying there whilst staying at the guanabara park just up the road in february.

you will find the Restaurant in the centre " Agua de la Perra" just up from the harbour...through the tunnel up the hill.Its upstairs above rockys...

Fantastic onion soup, i keep going back for more, Roberto is a fantastic Chef!

Glad to hear Oasis is still top notch. Looking forward to returning Monday 16th Jan. :boozy:

Hi KT,

We were over there in November and visited the Oasis as I'd read all the wonderful reviews and comments about it on this forum. We had an absolutely wonderful meal, the chef came out and talked to us for ages about all the specials and his recommendations, he couldn't have been more helpful and you could see that he wanted to make you a meal that you would really savour. It wasn't until after we had eaten that we discovered that it was no longer 'Oasis' and that the chef who had cooked our meal was the new owner and it was going to be called 'Roberto's' (his name). He was having a new sign put up later that week. So although we didn't have an 'Oasis' meal, I can not recommend Roberto's enough. It was absolutely wonderful. Going over to PR again in March where we will definately be visiting Roberto's again!

yes Roberto started his meals last Aug. there was also a lovely irish waitress who was very bubbly.
hope to give it another visit in may.
