I'm personally very happy with the selection of foodstuffs at the supermarkets but I do have some concerns about having my sensitive stomach exposed to the different ways that the supermarkets handles the foodstuff..

The eggs that are places on the floor and not in the refrigerated counter concerns me.

Is it brought fresh from the hens every day to the supermarked without being chilled until you've brought them home?

Is there a health risk when you are not use to this?

Maybe it's a good idea to eat a little in the beginning and then more and more each time to get you stomach use to it?

in the UK you will never see eggs in a chiller cabinet , in fact eggs are best being at room temperature when they are cooked ,

To save worrying blondane, why not buy a live chicken, keep it for 3 days to get fresh eggs, then cook the chicken, you wont get any fresher. :)

That sounds like a good idea:laugh: Maybe the owner of our rented apartment will not approve though! But you never know:laugh:
