Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good car hire place in PR that will offer a baby car seat ( for a 1 year old ). We will be there end of April ,start of May and would like to hire a car for one day to go off shopping.

Email-car-hire.com, is based at the airport so isnt really suitable for a one dayt hire. I have used Mency car hire, near the arizona appartements. They are OK.

Hi,
As a regular visitor to PR I can recommend the car hire firm based at the Terraza Mar Sunsuites.I used them for the first time in October 2005 and they were most accommodating.I was provided with a car seat free of charge and the price for a 1 day hire in a brand new Fiat Panda with A/C was approx. 35 euros which I thought was excellent.

Think they will all offer the car seat option. 35e is about adverage for a small car. Dont forget to check the small print of the hire though, so you know exactly what you are responsible for.

thanks to everyone who has replied. We have been to PR 7 times now and have hired cars, jeeps etc. over the years, but we were young and silly and didn't care too much for safety etc. but this time, we will have our new baby with us, so we want to hire a car that won't break down. We've had some experiences over the years, some would say bad, we just had to laugh.. one time we went to mogan and on the way back over the mountain, the storm was in full force (Feb 2004). All the rocks from the mountain started falling over the road, the car started to swing from side to side, thank God for the crash barrier.. whilst trying to reserve down the mountain escaping the landslide, the car broke down... !!! If you can get over that you can get over anything.

We found the car hire place across from the mini-golf beside McD's very good. They are located in a bunglow sort of building and at the time, they had a green 2 litre convertible golf dor hire 40euro a day. We had some spins in that....

Thanks
