Hi There,I,m Thinking of booking a villa in tauro for this years holiday can anyone tell me if it,s possible to walk from there to puerto rico and if so how long it would take (we are reasonably fit and enjoy walking) and is there places to stop on the way also how much a taxi would cost

I live in tauro and sometimes walk into puerto rico it is about a 20 minute walk or 3 euros in a taxi. You can also walk to Amardores from Tauro again not to far, but both directions are along the motorway so not very scenic!

Walking from Tauro to P. Rico would take you about a1/2 hour. Expect to pay about 3-4 euros in a taxi. Bus service is also available from the coast road. Fare is less than a euro and the bus stop is about a 10-15 min walk away!

I live in Tauro (bottom end, near the main road) and work in Puerto Rico harbour on a Sunday so I can tell you exactly!! I have done the walk many times. You can go via Amadores beach or via the main road. Same distance. It takes 25 minutes to get the PR shopping centre from Anfi Tauro via the main road or 30 minutes via Amadores. It takes 20 minutes to get to Amadores beach or 10 minutes to get to Tauro beach (pebbly). It takes 40 minutes to get to the harbour. A taxi is 3 euros in the daytime or 4 in the evening, 5 on Sundays or nights.

Hi Victoria, Thanks for your info I,m staying at a villa called virgo I,ve never been to Tauro before but I,ve been to puerto rico a few times and loved it so I,m glad it,s within walking distance

You will like it here, Teg. You will be close enough to PR but based somewhere quieter so youŽll have the best of both worlds!

I'm watching you Tony, All this walking info!! I'm starting to think you're hiding something from me!!!! You know, like practicing for the big one in May or something! Eh. lol.
