With a little work, you'll find wifi all over PDI.Jump in your car and drive around to find them - I did it for a month. Becomes fun after a while !!

WiFi free of charge is available in the vicinity of this Estate Agent's office:-

A&P Inmobiliaria S.L. (Estate Agent), C.C. Sonnenland, Local 311, 3a Planta, 35100 Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria.

Please post any other WiFi sites you find in the Island.

Actual spots are difficult to quantify, as some users eventually enable security. But, I nSan Agustin, there is a restaurant just below the Gloria Palace hotel that has open wifi access (that was 2 months ago). I can't think of the name, but it's on the right hand side as you approach the hotel. good luck.

I´m really thick when it comes to tecknical stuff..

I have a wifi spot open for me to use where I live, but I cannot get my computer to work with me on it. Is my computer too old (2 1/2 years and does have a modem!) or are there some buttons I should press and it will work?
Please help me!

you need to put a wireless receiver thingy in your computer. It came with our wireless thingy.

As Mary said you need a wifi card in your laptop then to set the software up. Cards aren't expensive (£30-£40) and can be fitted my yourself or a computer shop should be able to fit it in 30 mins at most.
Word of warning. If you have a wifi card make sure you have good security settings and/or firewall. Otherwise people near you can access your computer!

just bought a new phone. has wifi . any updates on where I can get wifi access while on hols. I don't suppose I'd be lucky enough to be able to get access when I'm on the main PR beach.

Any chance someone local can get in a car and go war driving (looking around for hotspots in a car with a wireless laptop ) and give me a few hints before I come over?

Didn't Think So :) Worth the Ask :)

Thanks for the help as always,

AL.
