smoking ban

can someone tell me if there is a smoking ban in public places
just like as is about to start in scotland

In supermarkets, shops, airports etc yes - there is no smoking. Some of the smaller bars have chosen to be smoking. But so far it seems to be going ok

it is for my sister she is going out in a couple of weeks time and could not do without her cigs

as a non smoker myself i would like a ban in smaller places but well ventilated places are ok
