Anyone stayed in these apartments. Parents are heading over for two weeks in May.

Yes, I've stayed there. Very popular with families. Small pool, decent bar (but small) and a stones throw from the beach (litterally.) You may be worried about the noise from the local bars because it's so close but I didn't hear anything but I sleep through anything lol. I really liked it there and would stay again.

we moved from the elena after first nite as the noise was so bad.
if your parents are given room near the reception they may want to ask for quieter one away from the nightclubs.a few rooms back right on to all nite discos.

Hi,
I am an expert on these apartments as I have stayed there on a number of occasions over the years.
I would advise you or your parents to contact Elena about 2 weeks before you travel to make sure you have an apt towards the back of the complex.
If you are near reception there is noise from the bars.
If you like live music the best place is a bar called Charlies on the 1st floor of the Atlantico Centrico. The best Chinese is right by Elena underneath Ricks (I have tried them all and this is by far the best).
The best pasta restaurant is Dolce Vita near macdonalds and the best Steakhouse is La Cascada in the old town (all the locals eat here).
Elena is basic but clean,the drinks in the bar are cheap but evey night is Karaoke night !! JJ's next door is o.k and good for the football. all in all your parents should have a good time but you need to get away from the entrance because it can be noisy sometimes, and don't forget your key to the main entrance cos they lock the door at 10pm and if you have only come out with your apt key - you are in for a long wait !!!

Thanx guys. I have passed your comments on to my mum.

Thanx for your advice on where to drink etc. We have all been over before but never really found a local we were comfortable with. She will give your recommendations a try.
